Taif University
On 27 Jumada I 1400 AH, a royal order was issued to establish the College of Education in Taif, which is affiliated with King Abdulaziz University. The college was annexed to Umm Al-Qura University according to a Royal Order No. 24187 dated 10/27/1402 AH where the study began in the college in the first semester 1401/1402 E. The number of students enrolled in it was eighty-five, and the number of female students was one hundred and eighty, distributed among the following departments:
Islamic Studies Department
the department of Arabic language
Mathematics department
Biology section
Department of Foreign Languages
Department of Educational Sciences (Assistant Department)
In the year 1419 AH, the High Order was issued to establish the College of Science in Taif. The study was organized in the following departments:
Maths
Biology
Physics
computer
In the same year, royal directives were issued to grant the palace of the late King Saud to the university branch, which is located in Al-Hawiya, and its total area (380,000) m 2 and consists of two parts: the ruling palace and the family headquarters, separated by a corridor of 200 m in length in addition to a large number of annexes and small villas. The restoration work was done for the part called the Governance Palace, and the two faculties moved to their departments in addition to managing the branch in the year 1423 AH. On 5/18/1423 AH, the university’s branch was on a big date when the Crown Prince - at that time - Prince Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud visited it to lay the foundation stone for the university city of the university’s branch in Taif and on 5/5/1424 AH and convert the branch of Umm Al-Qura University in Taif into an independent university Under the name of Taif University.
At the time, the academic and administrative committees started to separate the branch from its origin, and a separate budget was issued to the university during the year 1424 AH in the name of “The University in Taif” and assigned the Director of Umm Al-Qura University to act as its acting director.
Since the issuance of the royal order to establish the university, the specialized committees have started to lay down the university’s structure and create new colleges:

4: The College of Engineering includes departments:
Civil Engineering

5: College of Pharmacy
6: College of Community Service and Continuing Education

In the year 1428 AH, Royal Decree No. (1093) was issued on 11/21/1428 AH to establish three new colleges:
The Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences in soil includes departments:
Microbiology, Biotechnology, Medical Records, Veterinary Health
Community College in Khurma and it includes departments:
Computer Science English Language Medical Records Marketing Management
The College of Science and Arts is Rania and it includes departments:
Mathematics English Language Business Administration Accounting.
After the teachers' college and girls ’colleges were added to the university, the university restructured and merged the educational departments with the corresponding departments in the College of Education, the literary departments with the corresponding departments in the College of Arts, and the scientific departments with the corresponding departments in the College of Sciences. Approval No. 10209 / MB was issued on 12/30/1429 AH approving the university’s proposal to establish five new colleges:

Community College is Rania and it includes departments:
Computer Science, Business Administration and Secretarial
